As President of Mexico (1994—2000), Ernesto Zedillo faced major financial and economic adversities. He instituted political, judicial, and economic reforms and played a key role in moving Mexico toward democratization. It was during Zedillo’s presidency that Mexico experienced the highest GDP growth in recent Mexican History. Since leaving office, President Zedillo has been appointed Chairman of the Financing for Development High Level Panel convened by the United Nations Secretary General and Director of the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization.

In cooperation with the World Affairs Council of Oregon, Lewis & Clark College has purchased a limited number (100) tickets at a substantially reduced price for re-sale to Lewis & Clark College community members (students, employees, and alumni). General admission seating is $20 for each of these speakers, or $75 for the series of four speakers. Tickets go on sale at the College Bookstore on September 9.
