SAAB in a nutshell...
The Student Academic Affairs Board (SAAB) is a unique part of your student government, the Associated Students of Lewis & Clark (ASLC). Created in 1982, SAAB is composed of one student representative from each academic department. The Board meets weekly to discuss issues of academic importance to the student body: curriculum matters, the academic calendar, the senior capstone/keystone experience, faculty retention, general education requirements, etc. Additionally, SAAB sponsors a campus-wide tutoring program, in which students can receive two free hours of tutoring per week per department. SAAB also offers an equipment lending program for students to utilize over longer periods of time.
SAAB also sponsors a competitive grant program for the following: - Student Motivated Research
- Attendance at Conferences
- Visiting Scholar Programs
- Performances or Artistic Displays
