BIO 198 - Field Paleontology of Oregon

Content: Survey of fossil forms of organisms with emphasis on animals and evaluation of the diversity of known taxa. Introduction to field paleontological methods and procedures with a focus on the study of the local fauna over geologic time. Lecture, laboratory, and field trips (including two weekend trips).
Lectures MW 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Labs W 7/2, 7/23, 8/6 from 6:00-10:15 p.m.
Field lab F 7/18 from 12-4 p.m.
Fieldtrips: Friday noon - Sunday 5:00 p.m., July 11-July 13, and August 1-3, 2008
