The forecast for the Portland area on Sunday, May 11, calls for unseasonably cool weather and rain showers.

COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY VENUE
The 136th Annual Commencement of Lewis & Clark College will be held in PAMPLIN SPORTS CENTER, Sunday, May 11, 10 a.m.

The President's Reception following the ceremony will be held in TEMPLETON CAMPUS CENTER, Fields and Stamm dining rooms.

COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY, SUNDAY, MAY 11,
10 A.M.- 12:30 P.M.

The Commencement ceremony begins promptly at 10 a.m. with the academic procession into the venue. Family and guests are encouraged to arrive early (doors open at 9 a.m.) as most seating is general. The ceremony will last about 2 1/2 hours. Commencement speaker is GREG MORTENSON, author and humanitarian. MEAGAN NUSS, Environmental Studies, is senior speaker.

COMMENCEMENT TICKETS
Each graduating senior requesting tickets received 6 tickets for the ceremony in Pamplin Sports Center. The numbers printed on the tickets indicate the total number of tickets, not a seat number.Doors open at 9 a.m., and all seating in Pamplin is general. Tickets indicate bleacher (green) or main floor (blue) seating.

We have done everything we can to accommodate families and guests of graduates in Pamplin Sports Center with advance ticketing. The bleachers will be full, and we have placed as many chairs on the main floor as possible. We request your cooperation in helping us accommodate all of our ticketed family members and guests.

COMMENCEMENT LINEUP
SUNDAY, MAY 11, 9 A.M.
TEMPLETON, FIELDS DINING ROOM

On Sunday, May 11, by 9 a.m., candidates for graduation lineup in Templeton, Fields Dining Room in cap/gown for the procession to the Commencement venue. When entering Fields, please pick up your name card from the Registrar at the west end of Fields. Keep it with you and present it to the faculty marshal immediately before you ascend the stairs to the stage during the Commencement ceremony. Faculty marshals will assist you in lining up and with the processional/recessional.

LIVE COMMENCEMENT WEB CAST
For the first time in the history of the College, we will provide a live web stream video of the Commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 11. The live web cast will be available from 9:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m., PDT, at a link on the College's main page, in the On Campus section (right column) http://www.lclark. edu. Viewers will need to download a plug-in, so it's best to check the site when it goes live at 9:30 a.m. The academic procession begins at 9:45 a.m.

The Lewis & Clark chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, Gamma of Oregon, celebrates its induction of new members into the oldest undergraduate honors program in the United States, recognizing seniors and juniors who exemplify the academic excellence and breadth of learning essential to a liberal education. The initiation ceremony, which includes a keynote address by a distinguished visiting speaker, will be followed by a reception for new initiates, family, and friends. Hosted by Phi Beta Kappa faculty.

Alumni Legacy Reception

A "by-invitation" reception honoring graduating seniors whose family members are alumni of the Lewis & Clark. At the reception, legacy seniors will be receive a medallion with orange ribbon to be worn at Commencement.

This inspirational event is planned and organized by seniors. Includes music, dancing, readings, and reflections from classmates along with a special guest speaker. All seniors and their families are invited to this spiritually inclusive celebration.
