3.5.1 Tenure-Track Appointment Terms

A faculty member hired on “tenure track” is on probationary appointment and becomes eligible for consideration for tenure only if he or she completes the probationary period designated in the letter of appointment or subsequently negotiated with the dean of the academic school and approved by the appropriate dean. A tenure-track contract that is not renewed or extended automatically terminates upon the expiration of the stated period.
