New Publication Schedule
Beginning with Volume 13, the Lewis & Clark Law Review will be moving to a bimonthly publication schedule. This will enable us to provide even more distinguished scholarship for your enjoyment! Upcoming Issues
12:4 -- Winter 2008 Indian Law Symposium issue, "Indigenous Economic Development: Sustainability, Culture, and Business." Features articles on tribal taxation issues, sovereignty, off-reservation implications, and international/inter-tribal treaties for economic development. Additionally, the issue features articles on school dropout accountability, a peek behind the scenes of a state high court, and more.
13:1 -- Jan/Feb 2009 Continuing its occasional series on the topic of international treaties and domestic law, this issue will feature a number of articles on the Supreme Court's 2008 decision in Medellin v. Texas. In this case, the Court reviewed Presidential authority to order domestic laws and procedures to accord with international treaty.
13:2 -- Mar/Apr 2009 The Supreme Court also handed down a landmark 2008 decision in the case of D.C. v. Heller. Focusing on the Second Amendment, this case is continuing to reverberate, and will likely do so for many years. In this issue, we will feature articles from those at the heart of the case, as well as scholars who are striving to put the opinion in context and interpret it for the future.
13:3 -- May/Jun 2009 Lewis & Clark Law School is delighted to host the 40th anniversary celebration of the Federal Judicial Center. With a remarkable group of jurists and scholars; keynotes from Justices Sandra Day O'Connor and Anthony Kennedy; and insightful panel discussions about the future of the judiciary, our May/June issue will feature these discussions and articles from some of the participants.
