Animal Law Courses

Animal Law is one of the fastest growing fields of study and practice with new courses established each year.

Most courses are taught by animal law attorneys as adjunct professors, providing their expertise to the next generation of animal advocates. Nearly half of US law schools teach an overview course and a growing number of schools now offer clinical opportunities. Lewis & Clark Law School has the most developed animal law program offering six courses, including summer courses, moot court, and the Animal Law Clinic.

The National Center for Animal Law assists students, administrators, and attorneys who are interested in establishing animal law courses at their law schools, helping develop and promote the field of animal law.
