Important Courses for Animal Law Attorneys

While the expansion of animal law curriculum is an important reflection of the growth of the field, and animal law coures provide a great opportunity for students to learn from experts in the field, there are many courses that provide the foundation for effective advocacy.

Animal Law is based on traditional areas of law with those courses offered at every law school. It is best for students to take a broad range of courses, including bar courses and those in other areas of law. In addition to substantive courses, it is important to gain practical skills through clinics, internships, and externships.

The following tracks are based on Lewis & Clark's offerings, but may be adapted to other school's curriculum. Please contact NCAL if you would like assistance.
