10th Annual Animal Law Conference
Sponsored by the Shared Earth Foundation and hosted by Lewis & Clark's Student Animal Legal Defense Fund and the National Center for Animal Law.
This year's conference, Issues of Enforcement in Animal Law, will focus on existing state and federal animal laws, their lack of enforcement and methods to improve enforcement, coalition building, and enacting stronger legal protections for animals.

SALDF and the Center would like to thank the Shared Earth Foundation for their generous sponsorship.
The Shared Earth Foundation is committed to the tenet that all creatures have an enduring claim to sustainable space on this planet. It believes that today’s human beings have the responsibility to share Earth’s resources with other creatures and future generations by limiting their adverse impact on the planet, and by enriching and protecting Earth’s wild life and the places they inhabit.
To that end, we hope that through the Animal Law Conference, attendees will recognize the importance of protecting all animals, wild and domestic, through the law. We hope that existing animal laws which recognize animals' sentience, protect them from cruelty, and respect their place on this Earth will be more vigorously enforced.
We would also like to thank AnimalLaw.com, a project co-sponsored by the National Anti-Vivisection Society (NAVS) and the International Institute for Animal Law (IIAL) for their ongoing support of our conference.
