Middle East, South and Central Asian Conversation Series
Mohammad Bader Jan. 10, 2005
Mohammad is a Palastinian-American, licensed professional counselor and program supervisor of aging and disability services for Multnomah County Adult Protective Service Program. Mohammad is in a cross-cultural marriage with one son and a daughter and will be bringing some of his poetry to read to start the discussion. Lewis & Clark College Graduate School of Education and Counseling is bringing cultures together and launching a Middle East/South Asian Conversation Series, sponsored by Oregon Center for Inquiry and Social Innovation. All events are free and open to the public.
These conversations are designed to provide opportunities for teachers, counselors, graduate students, and the public at large to connect directly with Portlanders of Middle Eastern and South Asian ancestry and discuss areas of interest or concern. Our goal is to provide an open forum where children, young people, adults and families can come together to learn ways of supporting all the people of our community.
