2nd Annnual International Conference

Indigenous Ways of Knowing

Healthy Environment, Healthy Community, Healthy Families

The purpose of this conference is to bring together Native and non-Native scholars, Elders, Tribal Leaders, Natural Resource Specialists, Counselors, Educators and other individuals who are interested Indigenous Worldviews. We will discuss and expand knowledge in areas where Indigenous Health and education intersect with the health of our ancestral homelands and territories and strength of or communities. The panels this year will focus broadly upon:

  1. Traditional Ecological Knowledge & Native Science Education;
  2. Indigenous Knowledge & Community Resilience;
  3. Education & Counseling-Critical Unmet Needs in Indian Country.

The Conference will be organized as a series of panels that address each of these topics followed by small workgroups discussions. Individual presentations may be formal or informal.
