College of Arts and Sciences Parents & Families Visitor Guide for Parents & Families

Visiting Campus

Of course, the best way to experience Lewis & Clark is to visit our campus. This page provides a few resources to make planning your trip easier.

Where to Stay and How to Get Around

Where should you stay when you're visiting from out of town? Our lodging list includes places that offer a special rate to our visitors. If you decide to stay at one of the downtown hotels, you can ride the free LC shuttle to campus. Check the Pioneer Express schedule for departure times.

Be sure you have correct directions to campus and a campus map.

If you are new to Portland, be sure to find out where to go and what to see while you are here.

Programs for Parents & Families

Parents Preview
This is a program for parents of new Lewis & Clark students. It's scheduled each year over a two and a half day period at the same time as New Student Orientation. This program is a must for parents of new college students. For a sample schedule of events and registration information, please visit the Parents Preview Web site.

Family Weekend
This event is held during the first weekend in March each year. This is a great time to visit Portland and spend some time with your son or daughter. There will be a short program on Saturday morning followed by our famed International Fair in the afternoon. Registration information will be available in mid-January. You can see program highlights by visiting the Family Weekend web site.
