The PILP Auction

Each year PILP raises money through an annual auction to support our Summer Stipend Program and Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP). The Stipend Program pays students who choose to take summer jobs with public interest organizations that do not have the money to hire summer law clerks. The remaining auction funds can be allocated to LRAP, which helps struggling public interest lawyers pay their law school loans after graduation.

Last year, PILP's auction grossed more than ever before thanks to leadership and support from across the Lewis and Clark Community. We look forward to working with everyone to continue to build on this succes in 2009!

To Our Donors

Thank you so much for your donation to the Public Interest Law Project (PILP) Auction, at Lewis and Clark Law School! Your donation will help support law students who wish to pursue careers in public interest law. We believe that justice should be available to all, regardless of resources.

Each year PILP raises money to support our Summer Stipend Program and the Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP). The Stipend Program pays students to take summer jobs with public interest organizations that traditionally do not have the money to hire summer interns and law clerks. This program gives students valuable experience while providing public interest organizations with desperately needed legal assistance. After stipends are awarded, the remaining auction funds can be allocated to LRAP. This program helps struggling public interest lawyers pay their law school loans after graduation.

The Annual Auction, now in its 18th year, is PILP's largest fundraiser and one of the largest law school auctions nationwide. Last year's auction, "The Jazz Age," raised over $93,000 and funded 18 stipends. Our success is due to donations such as yours.
