Annual Events

Halloween Party Under Tent 2006Halloween - Fall

Every year the law school throws a Halloween party for students and for the children of students. These two parties amount to an afternoon and evening of events to help students relax. The 2007 Halloween Party will take place at the school on 10/27.

The law school's dean has a unique donation for the Public Interest Law Project's (PILP's) Annual Auction: the dean's authority plus a party. The donation can only be bid on by the law school's classes (1L, 2L, and 3/4L) and is traditionally won by the 1Ls.

The winning class is then free to be Dean for a Day - limited only by 24 hours, their imaginations, and faculty cooperation.

Classes have organized karaoke nights, polker tournaments, and other events to raise money for their bids. Victorious classes have rented carnival equipment; had a faculty talent show; required faculty to dress in costume; taken over faculty, staff, and upper division student parking; and more.
