Portland has been recognized as one of America's fittest cities by Forbes and Men's Fitness. Like our city, Lewis & Clark promotes a healthy, active lifestyle through a variety of fitness opportunties for members of our community.

All students, as well as staff and faculty members, have access to the on-campus athletic facilities, where you can play a game of pick-up basketball, lift weights with friends, or take a swim during scheduled hours. Budding and experienced yogis can take classes through Free University. And Lewis & Clark's proximity to Tryon Creek State Park offers all community members a nature getaway with walking, hiking, biking, and running trails just a 10-minute walk away.

Undergraduate students can learn new skills and improve their physical fitness through a variety of activity courses, including classics like aerobics and weight training as well as more unconventional offerings like Hula dance and sailing.
