Increase access to your events with podcasts
October 29, 2009
If you are a campus event planner, resources are available to help you share your events with a wider audience.
Event planners can work with Instructional Media Services (IMS) and Public Relations (PR), or Carla Almaraz in the law school community, to create event podcasts. Podcasting can increase access to your outstanding academic, cultural, or community-oriented events. By inviting those who couldn’t attend your event to download the podcast, you can provide students, alumni, and the general public the opportunity to enjoy your event whenever and wherever they choose.
If you are interested in recording your event, IMS can offer support with equipment and training. After you create your event recording, PR can assist with editing and distribution. Learn the details about podcasting at Lewis & Clark on this helpsheet.
If you are a member of the law school community, you should request podcasting when you schedule an event with Linda Lopeman (lopeman@lclark.edu), or contact Carla Almaraz for more information (almaraz@lclark.edu).
As you plan upcoming events, please consider this new opportunity. If you have any questions, contact PR at x7960 or public@lclark.edu.
