Presidential search update

October 30, 2009

The Presidential Search Committee met on October 29 to review and discuss a large number of excellent candidates. At the end of the meeting there was unanimous agreement on a short list of people to be offered in person interviews with the entire committee. Those interviews are expected to be completed in early December. Jay Waldron, Chair of the Search Committee, commented that: “The Committee is excited about the quality of this group of candidates. We look forward to meeting the short list in person and plan on being in a position to conclude the search in early 2010. The quality of the candidates is a tribute to the institution that Lewis & Clark has become and the one it aspires to be. I want to thank the entire Search Committee for the long hours of work they are putting into this search. As Trustees, Faculty, Staff and Students we are very aware of the importance of this decision. We look forward to finding and recommending the best candidate from this impressive list of prospects.”
