Lewis & Clark College is located in a suburb of Portland, Oregon. It is surrounded by trees, as you can see in this bird's-eye-view. Click on the picture to see a larger view.

The heart of the campus is the Frank Manor House. This building was the original home of the Frank family estate. It houses the administrative offices of the college, including the Deans' and the President's offices. You can click on these small pictures to see the larger pictures in detail.

The AES students take their classes in buildings with other L&C undergraduate students. Here is the Miller Classroom Building:

In addition, the AES students make use of all the facilities on campus. Here is the L&C library which contains a large collection of books and periodicals, as well as the most up-to-date databases and research materials. It also contains one of the many computer labs on campus.

The Pamplin Sports Center is open to all students. It has a swimming pool, a gymnasium, 3 basketball courts, a weight room, an aerobics room, locker rooms, training rooms, and classrooms:

The Templeton Student Center houses most of the student activities. In this photo, you can see the the entrance to the bookstore and cafeteria.

Inside Templeton is a bookstore where students can buy all the books that they will need for their classes. They can also buy school supplies and L&C memorabilia:

Lewis & Clark provides a mailbox for each student. Students look forward to getting letters from home every day.

There are two cafeterias in Templeton Center. The first one is primarily for students who live in campus housing. The second cafeteria in Templeton serves a la carte meals:

Students who choose to live on campus are housed in dormitories. They may live alone in a single room, with a roommate in a double room, or with three roommates in a quad. Here are examples of the residence halls: Akin Residence Hall, Akin Residence Hall, Odell Hall, and Juniper Hall.

The AES has field trips every semester. Some are small-group field trips, when a teacher takes a class off campus to do volunteer work, visit a business, or visit some place related to the topic they are studying. Other field trips are for all the AES students. Students may also go with the College Outdoors program visiting places as seen in the photos below.

Finally, students may relax and refresh themselves by visiting the campus art gallery or resting in the formal gardens of the campus.
