Learning objectives for Wednesday 10/18/00:

Students should be able to…

1. In general terms, describe the potential biological significance of the following elements in the YAR1 sequence:

• ankyrin repeat domains
• sequences encoding "PEST" regions near the C terminus

2. For figures 2, 4, and 5:

• describe the rationale underlying the experiment
• describe and interpret what the data show

NOTE: please do not memorize these figures. For exam purposes, I will provide either a copy or a full description of any figure that I ask a question about. Just make sure that you understand and can explain each figure.
