Required Books

1.  Lind, Schwarz, Lathrope, and Rosenberg, Fundamentals of Corporate Taxation (6th ed. 2005), plus the 2007 Student Update Memo, available free by clicking here. Older editions of the casebook are way too out-of-date to be used safely.

2.  Lathrope (ed.), Selected Federal Taxation Statutes and Regulations (West, 2008 ed., published in the summer of 2007). Please buy, beg, borrow, or steal the 2008 edition of the Code. Older editions may not have all the materials we will be using, particularly in the regulations.  There should be plenty of used copies of the 2008 edition around, as they were used in big sections of Income Tax I in the fall term just concluded.  Those of you who were in those sections, of course, already have the right edition.
