Dave Letterman and me

I have lived a nerd's dream -- my letter was read as the much-honored "Letter No. 1" on The Late Show with David Letterman on Friday, Nov. 16, 2001.  It read as follows: "Dear Dave, Got any safety tips for raking leaves?"

On May 13, 2002, my wife and I attended the taping of The Late Show, which featured guest Liza Minnelli.  Great fun!  However, we were disappointed that we did not get to see or touch any monkeys.
