Apple
and Dell now allow students and faculty to custom build a system
at an educational discounted price. Whether you are a Mac user
or a PC user, you will be able to configure your own computer
to best suit your needs. You can then either order directly
from the manufacturer or through the Computer Purchase Program.
Please don't hesitate to give us a call or drop us a line if
you have questions while customizing your system.
Apple Users!
To place an order, we will need a $200 deposit. Payment is due
in full on receipt of your system.
To begin, simply visit the Apple
Store for Education.
Click on the Education tab at the top of the page. On the next
page, select Higher Ed Staff, Faculty, and Students under Shop
for Yourself. The Apple Store will ask you to locate your College.
After you have chosen Lewis & Clark as your college and
logged in, you will be able to custom-build any Macintosh on
the page.
Once you have configured your computer, click on the Save For
Later button at the bottom of the page. Log in with Apple if
you are prompted to do so. Make sure you note the Web Order
Number assigned to your configuration, which can be found above
the items you've selected. Then, select Email, and email your
saved order to cpp@lclark.edu.
Be sure to include your name and email address in the custom
message box.
We will then contact
you to confirm pricing before we place the order.
PC
Users!
To place an order, we will need a $200 deposit. Payment is due
in full on receipt of your system.
To
custom build a Dell computer, go to Dell's
Online Store for Higher Education. Follow the prompts to
select and configure a system. Be aware that these prices do
not include our standard mark-up or any promotional discounts
from Dell.
After
you have chosen and built the system that you want, click the
Save E-Quote button.
Enter
your personal information. List Debbie Keller as your buyer,
cpp@lclark.edu as the buyer's
email, and your name and contact information in the comments
box.
You may also mail,
fax, or email the E-Quote along with your completed order
form to the Computer Showroom. In order for us to look up
your order, we need to know the email address of the person
who built the order as well as the E-Quote Number, so don't
forget to write it down!
Once we have this
information, we can look up your saved order. We will then contact
you to confirm pricing before we place the order. |
