Laptop or Desktop?

Students tell us that they find a laptop computer very useful. Laptops are portable and flexible in small spaces, such as a residence hall room, but are more vulnerable to theft and cost about $600 more than a comparable desktop. While desktops are more powerful, expandable, and often provide greater screen size than laptops, many students find that the portability and space-saving features of laptops better suit a student’s lifestyle.

Because of this preference for laptops, we have put together a minimum of desktop packages. If you would like to discuss other options for desktops, please contact the Computer Showroom.
