Roger Paget has several teaching and research specialties which span Southeast and East Asian Studies, political economy, political violence, international education and organizational leadership. His publications on Asia include Indonesia Accuses: Soekarno's Defense Oration in the Political Trial of 1930 (Oxford University Press, 1975) and Merdeka: An Independent Indonesia (Ohio University Press, forthcoming). In 1969-72 he was a member of the Southeast Asia Council of the Association for Asian Studies. During the Carter administration he was Coordinator/Senior Consultant, Advanced Training and Research, for the President's Commission on Foreign Language and International Studies; he was also Principal Consultant for the United States International Communication Agency in the project, The Fulbright Program in the Eighties. He has served on many National Resource Center, Title VI and Fulbright panels over a thirty-year period.
