Kimiko Nishimaru (15 at the time) was working in communication services under the Student Mobilizaion Order at the army's district headquarters, 800 meters from the hypocenter. Badly burned over her whole body, she crawled home and received treatment from her parents. She died, however, on August 12, 1945.
