Network Registration

We have deployed a network registration and validation system for our residence hall network and both wired and wireless access in public areas such as the Watzek and Boley Libraries.

Network Registration requires everyone to launch a web browser and register their computer with a valid Lewis & Clark e-mail login and password prior to connecting to the network.  This way we can quickly and accurately identify and quarantine compromised machines.  In addition, all Windows OS computers must pass a validation test prior to connecting to the network.  After registration, Windows users will be prompted to download our validation client called Clean Access Agent.   Clean Access Agent will check to ensure critical OS updates and supported anti-virus software is installed on your computer.  (Currently there is no Clean Access Agent client available for the Macintosh or Linux platform.)  Computers that fail the check will be directed to open a web page with links and instructions on how to download and install updates and anti-virus software.

For step by step instructions see our Network Registration help sheet.
