Windows Vista Support

We are currently supporting Microsoft Windows Vista only for network access. Students purchasing new computers with Vista installed can receive assistance with connecting those computers to the campus network and with installing Symantec Antivirus software.

We have tested the programs listed below on Windows Vista Business Edition. Vista Business Edition is the version that will be installed on all new institutional computers. However due to many hardware and software incompatibilities, we will not support Vista on current institutional computers.

If you are considering upgrading your personal computer to Microsoft Windows Vista you should first check your computer using the Upgrade Advisor. After this page loads, click on the download link in the middle of the page. On the next page click the download button and follow the instructions located farther down on the page. The Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor program will install on your computer and allow you to run a scan to determine how well your computer will run Vista and which version is most suitable. When the scan is complete you will see a window similar to the one pictured below.
