Sherry Ennis

ISALC Lecturer

Academic Background:

I am a full-time teacher who has been at the ISALC for many years. I feel especially lucky to be part of a wonderful group of professionals who have worked hard to build a great program. What do I enjoy teaching most? One of my favorite classes is Immigrants. Because the U.S. is a country of immigrants, I want students to understand why people have come here and what they have gone through to emigrate. Another class I like is Literature of the West. I am from the West, and I love this part of the country. I like to open students' eyes to the region through fiction. Apart from teaching, I love to watch students from around the world come together and learn from each other and about each other. I love to see their friendships blossom. In front of my eyes, I can see the "world community" expand.
