Welcome to The Institute for the Study of American Language and Culture at Lewis and Clark College. Our director, the instructors, the staff and I are very happy that you have been chosen to study in this summer's special English program, and we hope that your experience will be both enjoyable and beneficial to you. Although you will be here for just a short time, we know that you will study hard, and we hope that not only will your English language ability improve but that you will also learn a lot about U.S. culture.
