From September 1998 - June 2000, I was Adjunct Assistant Professor and Research Associate in the physics department at the University of Oregon. From September 2000 - December 2002 I was Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics at Lewis and Clark College. Currently, I am in my second year of law school at Lewis and Clark Law School, while working as a Technical Consultant at an intellectual property law firm in Portland, Oregon, Kolisch-Hartwell, P.C.
My research interests have primarily involved theoretical gravitational physics, and physics education. Currently, my only active project is the preparation of a textbook supplement that will be based on small-group, collaborative group problem solving (CPS) curriculum that I wrote while teaching at the University of Oregon. You can link directly to a description of this curriculum, and instructions for downloading samples, here.
I have also created a set of elevation profiles that may be of interest to cyclists, available at this link.
