Close your eyes and indulge yourself with one of the greatest joys of life. You smell an unmistakable and unique roasted fragrance. The scent is warm and familiar like your most comfortable pullover. It makes you feel like eating what, for most people, is a necessity which can not be renounced. The appealing aroma that has pervaded your nostrils unavoidably fuels your desire to explore and touch it. You can't wait to reach your hands to find the treasure and you meet something smooth and creamy; it's a soft sensation that gives you pleasure and you cannot stop yourself from touching this charming treat. At this point you already know that you will appreciate this delight. You are so impatient that you can't even wait for a fork or other civilized tool. With greediness you taste it. What at the beginning seems delicate, suddenly turns into a rich and powerful flavor, bitter and sweet at the same time; it's just delicious. You can do nothing else but relish this tasty moment; your palate is completely satisfied by the luxurious and precious experience you are living. You simply like it. Now that you are deeply gratified you know what it is all about, but you also know that part of the satisfaction that you feel will come from the sight of this savory "element." Here you have in front of you perfection. Because of its nicely polished surface, you hesitated before tackling such a masterpiece. It has an earthy brown tonality, which is so shiny that it glistens, revealing its chestnut hues. It is nothing fancy or complicated, yet elegant in its simplicity. Its structure makes you think of a skillfully built architectural form: layers of bubbly fluffiness are alternated with a velvety and buttery stratum of cream. Now that you have enjoyed this marvelous sin of gluttony, you are feeling guilty! |
