After walking all the way up to the dorm after classes, I felt extremely thirsty. So, I went to the main lounge in Stewart and I saw the pop machine. I saw the vivid red logo living on the front of the pop machine. As I ran toward the machine, my desire to drink got stronger and stronger. I dug into my right pocket, trying to find some change. I could hear the change hitting each other in my pocket. I picked up two quarters and was ready to make my choice. There was Sprite, Mountain Dew, and some other choices on the list. Finally, I saw the red label, and I could feel my desire was out of control. I quickly put the two quarters into the machine, and I pushed the bottom button without even thinking. I heard the sound, "ton," when it hit the bottom; the opening was a little small for me to put my hand in and take the can out, however, I still made it. I held the vivid red can in my hand, feeling that its shape was quite smooth, like a woman's figure. It was freezing! And the heat from my hand melted the ice into water. I could feel the water drip from the top of the can, through my fingers, then drop on the floor. The drops were like a timer, telling me that time would pass soon. There was a voice which kept telling me, "Open it and taste it!" So I opened the can, and I heard "Click! Shah. . ." and I was getting excited. I put it near my nose, and I smelled the special aroma that is not natural. It is really hard to describe with words. I tasted it, and the sparkling liquid burned my tongue; however, I liked the feeling of it. I felt refreshed. The feeling reminded me of a commercial with two polar bears. One bear gives the red can to the other bear, who could not catch any fish, and both of them smile, sitting next to each other closely. I tasted more again, and the feeling made me more and more excited! And finally, I did not feel thirsty any more, and all my body felt so good. My mind was clear, I was satisfied, and then I went back to my room. The vivid red can, which made me feel like I had just gone through an adventure, was a Coca-Cola. |
