As you are reading, researching, and writing you can use the following tools. You can open Microsoft Word (for typing your compositions) and then switch back and forth between Word and Netscape to use these tools. Use the "Applications Menu" in the upper right corner of your screen to switch between programs.

A Guide to Grammar and Writing by Charles Darling. Quite extensive. Java-enhanced grammar lessons with accompanying computer quizzes. Includes a hypertext index so you can find what you need quickly. Grammar questions can be posed for answers by return e-mail.
An Elementary Grammar - From the English Institute, created for English as a Foreign Language students, this site contains clear explanations of basic grammar concepts along with example sentences.
Writery by email -Writing assistance via email from the University of Missouri. There is a form provided for submitting ideas, parts of drafts, or drafts (just copy and paste). If you try this, let me know if you are happy with the feedback you get. (P.S. The tutors will NOT correct your grammar--they will just give you ideas for revising your paper).
