Why I Need a Friendship Family
by Salem Al-Saberi

Life in America in the very beginning time is very difficult. In the past, I was looking for a Friendship Family for many reasons: to consider myself part of a family, to improve my language and to socialize.

First, I came from the United Arab Emirates where I used to be social and where there are people who consider me as one of them. I like to feel there is somebody who cares about me. If I felt like I was in my country, I would be able to study more. Second, I was looking for a Friendship Family because that will help me to make my dream come true, to improve my English ability. I could speak English with them and they could help me. To improve my language, I have to practice with them and force myself to teach myself more. Thirdly, I'm a social person. It's part of my personality. I like to be more social because that makes me happy and helps me to improve my language, to become better and better.

In conclusion, all things I explained are very important to me because I'm a stranger here. and I have to accomplish all these things to get my target as I planned. That's why I was looking for a Friendship Family. In my opinion, everyone has to find someone and someplace to be comfortable, and then he can be a productive part of his society.
