-Introduction:
Universities are very important educational centers. Students can learn, cooperate, and improve their knowledge by attending universities. As I'm from Saudi Arabia, and as we have many universities, I'll talk about one of the famous universities in the Middle East. It is (KFUPM), King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals.
-History:
King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals was established by Royal Decree 23 September 1963. The first group of students were admitted on 23 September 1964. Sixty seven male students enrolled in the College of Petroleum and Minerals (CPM). The enrollment of the university has grown year after year since this time. It reached 7000 students by the years 1995-1996.
In 1975, the college became the University of Petroleum and Minerals. Eleven years later, the University was renamed for the name of the King of Saudi Arabia, King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals. Because we have affluent resources of petroleum and minerals, the university trained the students in the fields and mines. In addition, the university has many research studies in fields and mines.

-Life Style:
In (KFUPM) there are many dorms. Students there cooperate in their general life. Many dorms have different kinds of activities such as table tennis, pool tables, swimming pools and cafeteria. There is a student club where students can organize trips. Every room in the dorm has two roommates; they share their room's fridge, microwave, air conditioner and TV. Rooms are numbered so students can connect with each other easily. Also students have a reading lab so they can do their research studies and projects any time. (KFUPM) offers to students all the possibilities to be comfortable in their campus.
-University Colleges:
The (KFUPM) is a specific university in the petroleum and minerals. It has many majors related to petroleum and minerals that will improve in these two sections in the future.

-Admission Requirements:
To enroll in ( KFUPM) as an undergraduate student you have to graduate from high school with grade point average of over 85%. Also you have to get over 85% grade point average in math, physics, chemistry, English, and biology. After that, you have to pass (RAM1) exam. It is an exam that tests your mental aptitude. Then, you have to pass (RAM2) exam. It is an exam that tests you in math, physics, English and chemistry. Also you have to bring a recommendation letter from your high school that shows your good behavior and character. Then, the Admissions Committee will decide if you are accepted or denied.
-Conclusion:
In my point of view, I think that King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals is one of the best universities in the Middle East because of its various colleges and because of its strict education.

United Arab Emirates
University
Mohamed
Al-Dhaheri
In 1976, his highness Shaik Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahayan, President of the United Arab Emirates built a university for the benefit of all local people who are seeking to get the proper education. He accomplished a great dream where almost every field is available in the university. Today everybody in the country is proud of what his highness achieved for the country. The United Arab Emirates University is one of the most competitive universities in the Gulf. It's also ranked one of the top universities for the liberal arts in the Middle East.

The university has a good number of faculty members. All of the professors and teachers hold a Ph.D. or a Master's degree, and most of them come from America, UK, Australia, and also from other Arab countries like Lebanon and Egypt.
The average number of students in the school is about 15,000. That's because the school contains many different departments of study; the university is rich with eight main fields of study (humanities and social sciences, education, business and economics, Shryia' and law, agricultural sciences, engineering, medicine and health sciences ).
The school has many connections with other universities all around the world. For example, the university has a connected program with King Fahad University of Petroleum located in Dhahran, so they could exchange students for summer sessions. Besides that, they have summer activities overseas for future career development. The university is a school that has two sections, one for men and another for women. Also, they have two sections of the library for men and women. The library is huge, modern and full of books. This is true for mostly everywhere in the Gulf region, where schools and universities usually don't mix genders of students for religious reasons.
The university has many different kinds of buildings in different places; there are buildings for economics, business and engineering, etc. For example, the engineering department has its laboratories fully equipped for the student. Overall, the university has a good reputation within its region and many students graduate from school with big smiles on their faces.
