We are international students studying English at the ISALC, Lewis & Clark College, in Portland, Oregon. We created this Hatchet Student Survival Guide in our Computer Applications class. Please click on the photo below to meet us. And click on the "Welcome Message" link to hear our greeting. Please continue by looking below the photo to find out more about this guide. Thanks for visiting!

How
to use this guide:
You should use this Hatchet Student Survival Guide to help you understand the novel. Try to understand the main ideas in the novel without using your dictionary. However, if you must know the meaning of a word, follow these steps: Make a note of the chapter number and page number where the word is located. On our Web page, click on the chapter number, look for the page number, and you will probably find the word you need. There are definitions and photos to help you understand difficult vocabulary.
