FAQ's - Frequently Asked Questions
(normally arising *after* the course)

Can I continue to use the materials after the course ends?
The
Workshop Home Page (WHP) has been available since 1998 and will continue to be available for the foreseeable future. The Workshop Discussion Page (WDP) and class email list (ed648@lclark.edu) are used with each new session of the course. Therefore, access to both of these resources will only remain until it is time to "clean up" for the upcoming session (usually 2-3 months).

How can I get a transcript showing my graduate credit hours and grade?
For those taking the course for graduate credit, a transcript is available by written request from the Registrar's office at the Graduate School of Education and Counseling. There is a $5 fee for the transcript, and they are issued on a first come-first served basis. You may email the Graduate Registrar at
gradreg@lclark.edu, phone 503-768-6030 or Fax 503-768-6035. Complete information can be found at the Graduate Registrar Web site. It will take several weeks after the course is completed to obtain your transcript. If time is of the essence, please let the instructor know.

How long will it take to get a certificate if I'm taking the course for professional development ?
If you want a certificate of completion (free of charge) from the instructor, one will be mailed to you within two weeks of the end of the course. If you are being funded through a U.S. State Department grant, your certificates will be mailed to the Regional English Language Officer in your region, who will distribute them to you. If you want an official certificate from Lewis & Clark College ($25 fee), the certificate will be mailed within three weeks after the course ends.
