Chat at Tapped In
Instructions

Here are the instructions for chatting with me at Tapped In. Print them out.

1. Go to Tapped in at http://ti2.sri.com/tappedin/

2. Click on the "Guest Login" button.

3. Type your name and click "Login as Guest."

4. You will now be at Tapped In at the "Reception Desk."

5. Look to the window on your left. You will see a tab that says "Online." Click this tab.

6. This shows you all the people who are logged in at Tapped In. Find MichaelDK (that's me).

7. Click *one* time on my name. Then look at the bottom of the window (below the names) and you will see a small door icon. Click it.

8. You will be transported to my virtual office at Tapped In.

9. We can now begin the Chat.

10. I'll give you more instructions when you arrive in my office!

NOTE: These instructions are only for times when I am logged into Tapped In. When there is no Chat scheduled, I won't be logged in. You won't find "MichaelDK" under the "Online" tab.

NOTE: If you don't see any "Online" tab or any chat box on your screen, your computer may lack the resources you need to chat at Tapped In. You must have Java on your computer to use Tapped In. Search for Java on your computer.  If you have no Java files, you should download them before trying to chat.  See http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp
