For more than 30 years students from all over the USA have been coming to participate in our Year of Study in Munich program, and to experience what many have called "the best year of their life". They study in Munich, make new friends here, grow personally and intellectually, and at the end they take something with them that lasts a lifetime.

Two years ago we started our Annual Contest for Students of German Studies and the results have been amazing! More than 500 students from colleges and universities throughout the USA have entered for a chance to win a trip to Munich. Each year in June, five lucky winners have come and enjoyed a "once-in-a-lifetime experience" (Sujin Lee, Rice University).

This will be the third consecutive year that we have held the contest and we are delighted to be able to offer this opportunity to visit us and experience Munich. The contest is part of our Munich Partner Program, which has been designed to establish new partnerships between the U.S. and Munich. We hope that many of you will find out that learning a new language and discovering Germany and our European neighbors is a rewarding and unique experience.

Who may participate?
Any student may participate who is:

• currently a full-time student at a U.S. college or university, and;
• a freshman who will have successfully completed 1 German course by the end of this academic year, or;
• a sophomore who will have successfully completed 2 German courses by the end of this academic year, or;
• a junior who has declared German as a major or minor.

How can you participate?
Just fill out our entry form with your contact information and answer our ten questions about Germany and Munich. Sorry, the deadline for submission was February 1, 2007.

What can you win?
Five winners will be invited to visit us and be our guests in Munich from June 1-7, 2007. We will cover the costs of your flight, accommodation in Munich, excursions and spending money.

How can you win?
In order to win you must first answer all ten questions correctly. A drawing will take place in February to determine which five students will be invited to visit Munich.

When will the winners be announced?
We will inform all participants by posting the results of the contest here on February 9, 2007.
