The Platteau is a student-run, cooperative art center, open twenty four hours a day. Established in 1999 as a place where students could go to practice, perform, work, and play, the Platteau is a place for both the student with a serious passion for the arts and the student with a more casual artistic hobby. It is our hope that this space will relieve the pressures of academic studio art, allowing us all to focus instead on exploration of interests, discovery of new talents, artistic collaboration, development of a community, and provision of a forum for social and artistic discourse. The Platteau is run for and by students dedicated to celebrating the arts.
