Lewis & Clark College's
Foreign Language Literary Magazine

Polyglot, Lewis & Clark College's foreign language literary magazine, was created in 1990 by Klaus Engelhardt to provide a space for writers of the Lewis & Clark community to express themselves in languages other than English. Both Americans studying a language foreign to them and international members of the community expressing themselves in their native language are invited to submit. All written work that is published has been done in a language other than English or in a combination of languages, and is accompanied by a translation when possible.

Submissions are accepted from all members of the Lewis & Clark community, which is composed of the students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, and neighbors of the College of Arts and Sciences, the Institute for the Study of American Language and Culture, and the Northwestern School of Law. Any kind of creative writing (poetry, prose, letters/emails, journal entries, etc.) in a language other than English, or in a combination of languages, will be considered for publication. We also encourage people to submit artwork. Submissions must be received by the 16th of November to be published the following spring.

The book is distributed on campus at the International Fair each spring.
