Their stories are inextricably linked to the College.
It was Lloyd whose artistic sensibilities and demand for
quality created Lewis & Clark's beautiful campus. It
was Aaron who found a downtown home for Albany College
during the College's difficult transition and whose
generosity, disguised as a sale but in reality an
extraordinary gift, made it possible for Albany College
to move to Fir Acres Estate. Without the Franks, it is
doubtful Lewis & Clark would exist at all, let alone
as the College we know today. To acknowledge at long last the gift of the Franks,
the College proudly celebrates the dedication of the
Frank Manor House. Margery Frank Crist recalls life
at Fir Acres

Long before Fir Acres Estate became Lewis &
Clark College, it was home to Lloyd and Edna Frank along
with their children, Frederick, Dorothy and Margery.
