Small Schools Workshop - http://www.smallschools.com

The Small Schools Workshop is a group of educators, organizers and researchers based in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The Small Schools Workshop collaborates with the teachers, principles, parents, and district leaders to create new, small, innovative learning communities in public schools. In addition to providing direct assistance through partnerships with schools, the Small Schools Workshop actively participates in many initiatives to broaden and deepen recognition of the importance of school size to student learning and the role of small schools in furthering positive whole school and systemic change.

Small Schools Project - http://www.smallschoolsproject.org

The Small Schools Project provides technical assistance to the many new small schools being established in Washington State and throughout the United States. The project, supported by a generous gift from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, provides a range or services to new and emerging small schools that have an organizational structure and philsophical commitment compatible with the attributes of high achieving schools.

Bay Area Coalition of Equitable Schools - http://www.bayces.org

The Bay Area Coalition for Equitable Schools works with Bay Area educators and communities to create schools where every student learns to use her or his mind well. Using these schools as examples of what is possible, BayCES works to transform systems so that they support higher and more equitable achievement for all students in public education.

Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory - http://www.nwrel.org

The mission of the Northwest Regional Education Laboratory (NWREL) is to improve educational results for children, youth, and adults by providing research and development assistance in delivering equitable, high quality educational programs. A private, nonprofit corporation, NWREL provides research and development assistance to education, government community agencies, business, and labor. NWREL is part of a national network of 10 educational laboratories funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI) to serve the Northwest region of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.

Portland Schools Foundation - http://www.thinkschools.org

The Portland Schools Foundation provides leadership and funding for excellence, innovation, and equity in education for children attending Portland Public Schools, engages students, teachers, parents and the community in support of quality public education, and advocates for resources, policies and legislation to improve public education.

National School Reform Faculty - http://www.nsrfharmony.org

The National School Reform Faculty (NSRF) is a professional development initiative that focuses on developing collegial relationships, encouraging reflective practice, and rethinking leadership in restructuring schools -- all in support of increased student achievement. At the heart of the NSRF program is the Critical Friends Group (CFG). CFGs are the product of a simple idea; providing deliberate time and structures to promote adult professional growth that is directly linked to student learning.
