In order to prepare for the launch of the new look and feel throughout the lclark.edu domain, PubCom will need to restrict LiveWhale editing starting at 8 a.m. MONDAY, December 14, 2020, through January 7, 2021.

The lclark.edu site will remain fully operational during this time, but if you log on to make edits, you will see the following message:

“CAUTION! We are currently upgrading the Lewis & Clark site. Any edits you do during the upgrade window — from the start of the day December 14, 2020 to the end of the day on January 7, 2021 — will be wiped and need to be redone when the site returns to normal January 8.”

If you do make minor changes to your pages during this timeframe, please keep a detailed log so that you can redo them when the upgrade is complete. If you must make extensive changes to your pages, please contact Morgan Grether (grether@lclark.edu) to discuss your options.

We cannot wait to roll out the new look and feel in the new year! Thank you for your patience with the process. It will be worth the effort and the wait.

Timeline

December 14–January 8: The lclark.edu domain will be fully functional during this time, however LiveWhale editors should hold off with edits so that New Media can do the technical work to prepare for the migration. If you anticipate needing to make urgent updates during that time, contact Director of New Media Morgan Grether (grether@lclark.edu) for support.

January 7, 2021: New site is active!
January 8, 2021: Editing access fully restored

Starting mid-January 2021: New Media will hold trainings on the new widgets and features available with this upgrade. Stay tuned for dates!
