      Cyan Cowap BA ’19, a studio art major, was recruited by Professor of Physics Bethe Scalettar to provide illustrations for her upcoming textbook, Introductory Biomedical Imaging: Principles and Practice from Microscopy to MRI, which is slated for publication in early 2020.

      Jemma Goddard BA ’19, a music teacher in Condon, Oregon, has started a beginning band program for fifth- and sixth-grade students.

      Ariel Moyal BA ’19 moved to New Orleans in August 2019 to begin a yearlong post with Avodah Jewish Service Corps, an organization that is building a network of social justice leaders throughout the Jewish community. Specifically, Moyal is working in criminal justice reform with the Promise of Justice Initiative. She credits L&C with helping her advance on her journey, saying, “I learned about leadership, community, critical thinking, and perseverance, and I am excited to put these skills into action in the ‘real world.’”

      Keenan Ordon-Bakalian JD ’19 has joined Jordan Ramis PC as an associate attorney in the firm’s land use and development practice group. Previously, Ordon-Bakalian worked for the firm as a law clerk. Licensed to practice in the state of Oregon, he focuses his practice on land use and environmental law and has experience handling a variety of regulatory and legal compliance matters at the intersection of these fields of law. While a law student, Ordon-Bakalian clerked for the Snohomish County (Washington) Prosecutor’s Office in the Land Use and Environmental Unit and for Western Resources Legal Center, where he assisted in drafting pleadings in federal district court and the Ninth Circuit relating to federal forest practices and ranching.

      Sam Peers Nitzberg BA ’19 has been hired by Puddle Creative, a podcast production agency, which was founded Annie Fassler BA ’11 and Jonah Geil-Neufeld BA ’11.
