      Charles T. Allen Jr. BS ’53, June 9, 2016, age 87. Allen lived a vibrant life. He was a plumber by trade and served in the armed services. He married Ginger in 1950. They had three daughters together and many adventures that revolved around fishing, camping, rafting, and traveling. Allen also loved to host his friends and family during the holidays. In his later years, Allen was active in the Nestucca Valley Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Ginger; son Tom; and daughters Terri and Tami.

      Shirley Botti BA ’53, February 13, 2019, age 88. She was a receptionist, briefly, before becoming a teacher at the Girls’ Polytechnic High School in Portland, and, later, Franklin High. In 1966, Botti moved with her family to Corvallis, Oregon, where she worked as a realtor for many years. She retired to Portland in 2001. Survivors include her children, Dan and Chris; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

      Shirley Englund BM ’53, April 6, 2019, age 88. Englund was a music teacher at the Community Music Center in Portland for more than 20 years. She was also a devoted member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization Sisterhood and a lover of books, music, wine, and family. Survivors include her children Greg, Lizbeth, and Brad; two grandchildren; and other loving family members and friends.

      Keith B. Rislove ’53, April 27, 2019, age 88. Rislove worked in graphic design and advertising in the Portland and Salem areas. He retired in 1990. When he wasn’t working, he coached little league and went skiing with his daughter. Later in life, Rislove brought his artistic sensibilities to bear as a wildlife painter. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Jeri; daughter Leslie; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many other loving family members and friends.
