  • Image preview 12:00pm: EMPLOYEE ACTIVITY - ROWING (ERGOMETER) GROUP
    It’s fun and a full body work-out.  Everyone is welcome.  All levels can learn the machine.  Come to practice and sweat with others.  It happens in the Crew Team Room in the Basement of Zehntbauer Swim Pavilion on Fridays from 12-1 pm.

    Water Exercise & Water Running Workshop

    Do you like being in the water, but want to keep your hair and glasses dry?  Did you know that you can walk/jog/run in the water during open Lap Swim hours?  Come see Employee Fitness Coach, Suzanne Brauer, to hear about the basics of the vertical technique, posture, and alignment, how to use the buoyancy belts (for use in the deep end), and to learn about the kinds of workouts you can do.

    Who?  For all who are interested.

    What?  A workshop.  Wear a swim suit or tight shorts/shirt, if you want to get wet!

    Where?  Zehntbauer Swim Pavilion Pool Balcony.  Enter through the Foyer or through the Locker Rooms.  A sandwich sign board will be there to guide you in.

    When?  Thursday, August 27, 12:00 Noon 1:00 PM

    Ergometer (Rowing Machine) Room Workshop

    Did you know that the Lewis & Clark fitness facilities include an Ergometer Room that is open to faculty, staff, and students?  Join Head Crew Coach Sam Taylor to learn some of the basics of how to use the rowing machines, get a tour of the facility, and learn about the kinds of workouts you can do.

    Who?  For all who are interested.

    What?  A workshop.  Wear comfortable clothing if you want to do it!

    Where?  Zehntbauer (Pool Building) Basement:  Enter between JR Howard & the Bike Coop.  A sandwich sign board will be there to guide you in.

    When?  Tuesday, August 25, 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM.

  • 11:00am - 1:00pm: Downtown Law Clinic Tour + Food Carts
    The CARE committee and the law clinical professors are hosting an informal talk and tour of the 3 legal clinics downtown. The 3 legal clinics we will be hearing from are the Small Business Legal Clinic, the Low-Income Tax Clinic, and the National Crime Victims Law Institute. Prior to the talk, we will also be taking a short fieldtrip to the nearby food carts (SW 5th & Stark).

  • Image preview 12:00pm - 1:00pm: Employee Fitness X-Train & Core
    X-Train & Core is taught by Suzanne Brauer, in the Pamplin Sport Center 019 Activity Room and outside at various locations on campus, on Thursdays from 12:00-12:45 pm.  Do it all with a variety of equipment…cardio, strength, and stretch…it’s a total body work-out.

July 1st, 2015

  • Image preview 12:00pm - 1:00pm: Employee Fitness Mind-Body Fusion
    Mind-Body Fusion is taught by Suzanne Brauer, in the Pamplin Sports Center Activitiy Room 019, on Wednesdays from 12:00-12:45 pm.  Experience a combination of exercises from yoga, pilates, fitness, and therapy for stamina, stability, strengthening, and stretching.  Mats are provided.

  • Image preview 12:00pm - 1:00pm: Employee Fitness Spin-Cycle

    Spin-Cycle is taught by Suzanne Brauer, in the Pamplin Sports Center Foyer or outside on the patio, on Tuesdays from 12:00-12:45 pm.  Stationary training bikes are used.  All levels of fitness can ride and sweat together on a fitness journey.

  • Image preview 12:00pm - 1:00pm: Employee Fitness Program - Free! Fun Friday - Deep Water Running
    Get together with friends and do some running in the water!  Meet on the Indoor Pool deck at 12:00 noon-12:45pm.  Swimming skills are not required for this activity.  Instruction is available.  Buoyancy Belts are available.  You don’t have to wear a swimsuit, as shorts and a shirt will work just fine.
