Samantha Schoech BA ’92 left her position as program director of the Independent Bookstore Day, the program she founded in 2013. She’s now the books editor for the San Francisco Chronicle Datebook. She lives with her husband, twin teenagers, two cats, and lots of plants near Ocean Beach in San Francisco. She is itching to go to the Jaipur Literary Festival in India as soon as it’s safe.

Samantha Schoech BA ’92 was recently awarded the University of Dayton’s Erma Bombeck/Anna Lefler Humorist-in-Residence award. She spent her residency working on a collection of humorous essays titled Fully Formed Adult Human. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and twin middle-schoolers and is the program director of Independent Bookstore Day.
