Science Pub Portland: Mapping the Brain with Tamily Weissman-Unni

In this talk, Biology and Neuroscience Professor Tamily Weissman-Unni explains how color can be used to study the brain.  he has helped to develop a multicolor method called “Brainbow,” which color-codes cells by expressing combinations of specialized fluorescent proteins. She will present colorful images and illustrate how the brain forms in tiny, transparent zebrafish embryos.
