It is the policy of the College to use a person’s chosen name to the greatest extent practicable and permissible. The College is in the process of updating all of its systems to reflect chosen name except when legal name is required. As of August 2019, chosen name can be displayed in the following areas:

  • Class rosters in WebAdvisor
  • Grade rosters
  • Diploma
  • Commencement program
  • Moodle: users may update their display name in Moodle by following these instructions (PDF). However, this will only update the displayed name in Moodle. Students will need to follow the formal chosen name procedures to have chosen name reflected in other college systems.
  • Email: providing a chosen name will update the LC email name display. Individuals may contact the IT Helpdesk at ITservice@lclark.edu or 503-267-7225 with any questions.
